Your private guide will meet you at your hotel in Kusadasi/Izmir holding a sign with your name on it, at any time you wish. After greeting you, we will have approximately a 0.0-hour drive to Pamukkale, where we will explore the travertine terraces and visit Hierapolis. The travertine terraces at Pamukkale are one of the most spectacular natural wonders we have ever seen. From several mineral springs on a vast white cliff, some 000 meters high overlooking the plain, the calcite-rich waters have trickled down a series of terraced levels, creating a fairytale land of strange solidified waterfalls and shell-shaped basins. They resemble snow formations or cotton balls, giving the landscape its Turkish name, Pamukkale (cotton castle). Furthermore, the water in the basins changes color depending on the light. Continue your visit to Laodicea, a city established in the 0rd century BC. Founded by the Seleucid Antiochus II, the city was named after his wife, Laodicea. Built on the Lycus tributary of the Meander River, it was named Laodicea on the Lycus to distinguish it from other cities with similar names. Laodicea is the last of the seven churches. As the crossroads of two important routes, this city held a significant commercial and logistical position.
